Platform Terms — UK Closed Alpha

LVLING is an invite-only collection, deck, discovery, exchange and marketplace platform for trading card games. The first closed-alpha cohort is UK-only and focused on One Piece collectors. The collection tools are functioning beta features; every Trade, Purchase, payment, label, tracking, return, refund, dispute and protection journey is currently a test simulation.

1. Who can use it

Members must be 18 or over and invited. Access is personal and non-transferable. UK transaction simulations are available only to eligible UK members. Closed-alpha access may change as reliability improves and may be paused or withdrawn. No simulated fee or amount shown in a test journey is charged to you.

2. What the prices are — and are not

Every market guide states whether it comes from completed sales, asking-market observations, another market reference, or comparable printings, together with the printing scope, market, currency, source and freshness shown. Where this card has no admitted numeric reference, the product may instead show a clearly labelled Comparable-printing guide: a display-only range inferred from disclosed comparable evidence. That guide is not a sale or observation of this card, cannot set automatic trade fairness, collateral or a binding commerce price, and can be edited or rejected by the member.

Prices and benchmarks are not valuations, offers, promises of worth or resale value, and are not financial advice. Decisions made on any reference are the member’s own.

3. Collections and conduct

Members record their own collections and wants and are responsible for their accuracy. Fraud, misrepresentation, scraping, abuse of other members, or attempts to manipulate pricing or matching are grounds for removal. There is no user-to-user messaging or off-platform transaction handoff, and no such surface should be impersonated.

4. Trade and Purchase are test-only

TEST ONLY — NO REAL MONEY, CARDS, LABELS OR PROTECTION. The closed alpha includes in-app protected Trade and fixed-price Purchase journeys so invited members can test the intended experience. They use deterministic, zero-network payment, carrier, fulfilment and notification simulations. Do not send a card, make a payment, or rely on a simulated status or amount.

The intended product keeps matching, agreement, payment steps, fulfilment, confirmation and issue handling inside LVLING. The sandbox proves that software path only. It does not provide real customer protection and does not authorise Stripe, a carrier, a seller, a buyer or LVLING to move money, issue a label or move a card.

Simulated Trade amounts are itemised as facilitation, protection and postage, with a separate simulated temporary card-value authorisation. A protection component is a test fee label, not trustee money, escrow, a deposit, custody, a stored balance or insurance. The sandbox does not hold members’ money or cards. No live payment role, merchant-of-record position, capture, payout, loss allocation, return right or protection promise is approved or created by these terms.

5. Cards, parcels and carrier evidence

Condition and authenticity are member declarations. LVLING runs no verification desk and grades nothing. Sending a counterfeit or materially misdescribed card in any future live service would breach the applicable transaction rules. Test tracking proves only synthetic state progression; even a future real carrier scan would not by itself prove parcel contents, condition or authenticity.

The alpha sandbox issues no Royal Mail label and makes no carrier claim. Any future carrier responsibility would depend on the exact purchased service, contract, acceptance scan, packaging, evidence, exclusions, claim deadline and compensation cap. LVLING does not promise that Royal Mail or the platform will cover a card’s displayed benchmark or replacement value.

6. Process integrity

The platform may decline, freeze, void or expire a simulated Trade or Purchase when identity, market, price evidence, inventory, participant, policy or recovery checks fail. A simulated completion is not evidence of payment, dispatch, delivery, ownership transfer or legal protection.

7. Liability and future live terms

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Your statutory consumer rights are unaffected.

These terms do not allocate losses for live payments, cards, carriage, refunds, returns, disputes or chargebacks because those activities remain closed. Before any real transaction is enabled, the applicable payment roles, seller status, consumer rights, carrier process, evidence rules, complaints route, protection scope, liability and retention rules must be approved, published in a new version and accepted again.

8. Ending access

Members may stop using the platform at any time and may request account deletion (see the Privacy Notice). LVLING may suspend or remove access for breach of these terms, as the founding terms already provide for campaign entitlements.

9. General

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stands. The current version is always at this address; material changes are versioned and re-accepted, never silently substituted.

10. Licensed data suppliers

Prices on a card cite the marketplace the evidence came from, because that is the fact you can go and check. Some of that marketplace data reaches us through licensed data suppliers, credited here: TCGGO (Cardmarket and eBay completed-sale data), JustTCG (TCGplayer data), and Card Hedge (licensed eBay completed-sale receipts and modelled market references).

A supplier is plumbing, not provenance. Naming one on a card would tell you which data we buy, not which market priced the card, so a supplier never appears beside a figure.

The reduced sale receipts show only date, native price, grade, and a verified listing or exact-printing search. They remain separate from modelled values and do not become UK sales without UK sale facts.

Questions, complaints, disputes, privacy requests or account deletion: use Account → Help & Support inside LVLING to receive an attributable case ID. A support case does not itself change a transaction, refund, payment, shipment or account. See also the Privacy Notice and, for founding members, the Founding Membership Terms.
